In a new study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine it was found that older men who looked on the brighter side of life were less likely to die of heart disease, in comparison to those who have a dreary outlook on life. After being given three surveys over 15 years, it was found that consistently optimistic subjects cut their risk of heart disease by almost half. The authors posit that one explanation may be that happiness stimulates a positive biological reaction. So be optimistic, be happy, you may improve your quality and length of life.
